Allen Stone has been described as a pitch-perfect powerhouse and his socially conscious music has been likened to that of bona fide soul legends such as Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Donny Hathaway. However, this 25-year-old singer-songwriter from the tiny town of Chewelah, Washington simply classifies himself as “a hippie with soul.” Since the digital release of his self-titled album via his own stickystones label in October 2011, his shows have sold out from coast to coast, with performances on the ESPYs Countdown Show and Late Show with David Letterman.
Next up in our Live From T5 Concert Series will be an exclusive live performance by two-time Grammy Award Winning Spanish pop artist Kany García this Thursday, June 7, 2012. Since we first began operating into San Juan in 2002, the number of fliers traveling with JetBlue to/from the Commonwealth’s capital has grown an average of 28 percent each year. Customers traveling through our home base of operations, T5 at New York’s JFK, will be surprised with an exclusive live performance by UK artist Ellie Goulding on Thursday, January 19, 2012 as part of our latest Live From T5 concert.
The self-taught singer rose to the top of the UK album charts following the release of her debut album, Lights, in 2010. Her stateside debut was followed by a national U.S. tour and included TV performances on Saturday Night Live, Live with Regis and Kelly, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the only performer at the royal wedding of Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton, and most recently a performance at the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in Washington, D.C. Goulding is scheduled to appear on Late Night with David Letterman on the eve of her JetBlue performance. Having already conquered her native Britain with the best-selling debut album of 2010, Ellie has also won over American audiences and garnered rave reviews for Lights.
