Friday Operations Update

The winter storm some are calling Hercules has passed, and our operations in the Northeast are beginning to stand back up. Just because the white stuff has stopped falling though, doesn’t mean the airports are done with it just yet.

Nearly 8 inches of snow fell at JFK, and 15 inches covers the field at Boston. It’ll take some time for all those runways and taxi-ways to be cleared, and light blowing snow will still impact visibility for airplanes taking off and landing. This unfortunately means until the airports are back to 100%, customers can still expect some delays and cancellations.  Our Chief Operating Officer, Rob Maruster took to the airwaves this morning himself to explain more.

For customers able to reschedule their flights, we’re still offering a fee waiver for select cities. Check our Travel Alert for the latest information about fee waivers and affected cities.

This is my first experience as a JetBlue customer. Please help–flight 1950 from TPA to DCA was cancelled due to personnel error. I received a $100 voucher for a future flight, but no additional flights have been scheduled from Tampa to DCA to accommodate customers this weekend. I need to be at work in DC on Monday. The next available flight is Tuesday at 2:06pm and this is unacceptable. I do appreciate what little help the staff members answering your phones could offer me. I asked for help to reschedule with another airline, but my request was repeatedly denied. I have been calling 1-800-JETBLUE and checking your website for availabilities for several hours. I understand that poor weather conditions caused several cancelations; however this cancelation was due to not having enough staff on hand. Please help your customers by providing an available flight from Tampa to DCA this weekend.

I will never fly with your airline again. 40 minutes before our flight Jet blue cancelled our flight. Basically told us sorry… Now they are sending two planes tomorrow, Saturday and told us that because we paid with points that we can’t go on those planes.

Please call 1-800-JETBLUE and talk to an agent. They should be able to advise you of available options.
