JetBlue to Receive First U.S.-Built A320

Last week our CEO Dave joined Airbus and state and national dignitaries in Mobile, AL, to break ground on their new production facility. The new assembly line will produce A320 family aircraft and will be Airbus’ first U.S.-based production facility.

Watch the event replay on www.airbus.com or www.airbusalabama.com and hear representatives from the Gulf Coast community and aviation industry speak about how the new assembly line is not just about making airplanes, but also providing a substantial impact in the lives of thousands of people like themselves.

Just as we are committed to growing profitably and responsibly, Airbus is committed to meeting the demands of airlines around the world for modern, fuel-efficient aircraft. Aircraft assembly is planned to begin in 2015, with the first delivery of a mobile-assembled aircraft in 2016. At full production, the assembly line and associated facilities will employ as many as 1,000 workers.
