We recently brought members of our IT team down to our 67th BlueCity, La Romana, where we joined forces with the DREAM Project to donate laptops to children to support their educational pursuits. DREAM is a local organization that runs education programs for children and youth in the DR; the goal is to break the poverty cycle by providing education opportunities at an early age so children feel empowered to stay on this track as they get older.
After a great day of interacting with the children at the school Escuela Francisco Salazar, located in the city of Higuey through educational games and laptop lessons, our volunteers hope to remain in contact with the school and foster the relationship like we’ve done with local schools in Santiago and Santo Domingo.
