Helping Children’s Wishes Fly High

Our crewmembers at the JetBlue University College of Airports recently volunteered to serve breakfast at the Give Kids the World (GKTW) village in Orlando. Give Kids the World is a non-profit organization in central Florida that fulfills the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable trip to theme parks like Disney World, Universal, and Sea World – at no cost.

The GKTW village is a 70-acre resort complete with more than 140 villa accommodations, attractions and fun activities designed for children with special needs. The GKTW organization depends on volunteers – called “Angels” – to fulfill nearly 1,400 weekly shifts. From assisting with resort operations and entertainment programs, the volunteers are critical in ensuring that the families have a great experience.
