Surprised and delighted travelers gathered in the T5 Marketplace throughout the afternoon yesterday to take part in our first Live From T5 music festival. With at least 15 Live From T5 performances under our belt, we partnered with publishing and events company CMJ Network to put on the show.
The line-up offered listeners a chance to hear up-and-coming talent in the music world, including:
- Icona Pop, a Swedish DJ and electropop duo that blends house, punk and indie
- JJAMZ, whose song, “Heartbeat,” is featured on the new MySpace commercial
- Matt Sucich, an Astoria native known for his soothing voice and ability to convey love, loss and everything in between
- Kate Earl, a singer-songwriter from Alaska who just released her second album entitled “Stronger”
