JetBlue’s 605 Wears Red Sox Colors!

Check out our new uniform!

As Boston’s largest carrier and Official Airline sponsor of the Boston Red Sox, today we turned our blue livery grey to honor the classic Red Sox road uniform on a specially painted Airbus A320 aircraft with a unique Red Sox design at Boston’s Logan Airport.

The newly branded aircraft was revealed by our Senior Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Strategy, Marty St. George, and Boston’s Mayor Thomas M. Menino, together with Larry Luccino, Red Sox President/CEO; Sam Kennedy, Red Sox EVP/COO; Bobby Valentine, Red Sox Manager; Wally the Green Monster; and hundreds of our crewmembers. The aircraft enters service today and will surge the skies solidifying our status as Boston’s favorite airline!

OMG! This is hilarious. Michelle Keith tohhgut I would really like this and passed it on to a fellow RED SOX fan. I too married a Red Sox fan. But when we met, the difference was I too was a Red Sox fan. I couldn’t imagine what it would have been like if I was a Yankee fan. Our wedding anniversary also falls in October and we would always mark our wedding anniversary around playoffs. We got married in 03 . The year the SOX played the Yankees in the ALCS and lost when Aaron Boone hit that walk off home run. We missed most of the game due to our rehearsal dinner but sadly caught the end and watched the YANKEES celebrate and hailed Boone the hero. I got to call my wedding coordinator and let her know we didn’t need a tv afterall. Game 1 of the WS would have been my wedding night. We got married in New England where my husband is from, there was no way I couldn’t have a TV with the game on. Me, the bride wanted to watch the game. If there was any chance of any of Shane’s family members attending our wedding, I had to have a TV somewhere. At least the following year did we not only get to celebrate our 1st anniversary but we also got to celebrate RED SOX world champs.Last year this time our annual girls trip to Cambria was in October. And of course it was during playoffs. Michelle, along with 6 other girlfriends were patient with me to have the ALDS games against Cleveland on any tv located in the house. So Michelle knew your story would give me a good laugh. Every year when the emails start to decide what time of the year we should meet in Cambria, I am trying to figure out a good reason not to do it in October. W/out having to go as far as stating it’s bcuz of playoffs. Something that won’t be understood by most groups of women. Unless they too were a group of die hard Red Sox fans. I will be sure to pass your tips onto unknowing potential Red Sox spouses. GO SOX!

Fortunately, you won’t have to deal with it.The Phils would have had an easier time with the Sox. Their tirastng staff is in disarray (was) and they don’t run as well as Tampa. The key would have been getting to the ninth inning with a lead.Tampa’s tirastng pitching is more consistent and they’re faster and their hitters are as good as the Phils. So, let the dust collect on that Red Sox cap.Just so you know, they’re coming back to the ballpark next year for 3 games.

I’m a big Yankee fan from Montana…Plan on attending games in May…9,10,11…Just check some good tickets. If Boston Red Sox will win the 8th World Series title, then there will be a parade at World Series Way in Boston in this route.
