This evening we’re taking part in one of the most storied traditions of the Boston holiday season – the annual tree lighting ceremony in Boston Common.
Dozens of local JetBlue crewmembers will be on hand offering up blue candy canes and special discount offers at this hugely attended event. As if they weren’t enough of a draw, Boston native and former New Kids on the Block heartthrob Joey McIntyre will be among the event’s special guests!
Stop by for a skating show on the Frog Pond beginning at 5:30 p.m. and stick around for the lighting ceremony which will run from 6-8 p.m.
The event is free to all. See you there!
Did you know…? Boston’s massive Christmas tree is an annual gift to the city from the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. For decades Nova Scotia has sent a tree to Boston to thank them for relief support provided in the wake of the 1917 Halifax Explosion, the world’s largest man-made accidental explosion.
