Announcing Our New Interline Partner: Jet Airways

Let’s hear it for the 13th addition to our family of interline partners: Jet Airways! Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline is our first interline partner at Newark! The alliance allows us to offer customers new travel options from JetBlue destinations in the USA to Brussels, Belgium and onward to India. With an average fleet age of just over 5.5 years, Jet Airways has one of the youngest fleets in the world, operating flights to and from 53 destinations in India and connecting 24 international destinations.

From JFK and EWR, our customers can fly non-stop on Jet Airways to Brussels, the airline’s European hub, where they may transfer to nonstop Jet Airways flights to Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai. In India, Jet Airways also offers an impressive domestic network of 53 cities including Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Goa, Hyderabad, and Thiruvananthapuram.

Through this partnership, customers will now be able to book a single combined ticket for JetBlue and Jet Airways-operated flights with one-stop check-in and baggage transfer between the two airlines.

i was travelling by Jetairways, kocnent from Bagdogra to Bangalore via Kolkotta. flight no GL 2481 from Bagdogra till Kolkotta and than connecting flight from kolkotta till Bangalore by SC 0364. on 20.10.10. when i reached banglore international airport, while claiming my baggage i found that my baggage lock was tampered. relizing that some thing was not right. i checked the cash (Rs 14000) that i had in the baggage was found missing. and immediately, i want to the baggageservice, bangalore. and informed the incharge there, Mr Revi Kumar, there i was told that i was not suppose to carry cash in the baggage. now my question is, do the jetair ways ground crews have the right to tamper with the passanger baggage? i was told that they can’t do anything. except some verbal assurence to investigate the theft.i have travelled by many other filghts and nothing as such have happened, despite i carried the the cash in the baggage. doesn’t it make the obligation for the jet airways not only to reach the pessanger safely to its destination but also the baggages of the passanger in one piece. while i was making the complaint i also saw few more passanger complaining about their baggage being tampered. So where does the reputation of the Jet air ways lay now? Atleast i would be happy if they do some real imnvestigation to catch the culprit and restore the Jet air ways reputation eagerly waiting for some response from the concerned authorities a desperate pessanger
