Effective today, we’re interlining with Qatar Airways on their daily nonstop flights from JFK and Washington Dulles to Doha, Qatar. From the airline’s hub at Doha International Airport, our Customers will be able to connect to destinations across the globe from Africa to Australia, and from India and Indonesia. Our partnership on this award-winning airline known for its premium service opens up a number of destinations previously unavailable through our other partner airlines, such as Bali, Indonesia; Cebu, Philippines; Phuket, Thailand; and Hanoi, Vietnam. It’s also another affirmation of the power of our brand across the world, and the strength of our network in New York and on the East Coast.
Flights go on sale today via Qatar Airways’ channels and the GDS. We expect to sell flights on Qatar in the future.
Home to 1.6 million residents, Qatar is located on a small peninsula off the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. (See Qatar on a map.) Last year, the small state had the world’s highest GDP per capita, thanks to its massive oil and natural gas reserves.
