The couple of minutes that we have with each Customer is special to me. I love trying to build rapport with them. This past Saturday morning was a little different than others because of a canceled flight from the night before. We had a few Customers that were frustrated so I was trying extra hard to treat each and every one with the utmost respect.

I called a much older gentleman over to my counter to take care of him. I asked him all of the security questions and he gave me all the right answers. As I was trying to lift his bag to place on the belt, I asked him what was in it that was making it so heavy. He told me it was his movie, to which I said, “you must have a great selection. I can’t wait to get to that age where I can retire and watch movies all day.”

He proceeded to tell me about how all the old boys come over and they have a good time watching them.

“It must be all classics,” I said.

“They certainly are,” he said. “They are all porn.”

Well you might have guessed that I was at a loss for words at that point. All I could muster up was, “I am so happy you chose us as your selection of airline to fly with.” and handed him his boarding pass.
