Two More Reasons to Have Fun in the Sun: Announcing St. Thomas and St. Croix

To celebrate our position as Puerto Rico’s largest airline, today we’re announcing that weoak connect San Juan to two new cities: St. Thomas (STT) and St. Croix (STX). Service will begin Dec. 15 to both destinations, with two daily flights to St. Thomas’ Cyril E. King Airport and one daily flight to St. Croix’ Henry E. Rohlsen International Airport. We’re also planning seasonal winter service between Boston and St. Thomas to begin at the same time.

The intra-Caribbean service to STT and STX will be operated with E190 aircraft. The BOS-STT flights will be operated using A320 aircraft.

Flight Schedule:
Depart SJU 0825 Arrive STT 0855            Depart STT 0930 Arrive SJU 1005
Depart SJU 1510 Arrive STT 1540            Depart STT 1730 Arrive SJU 1805
Depart SJU 1425 Arrive STX 1505            Depart STX 1605 Arrive SJU 1650
Depart BOS 0935 Arrive STT 1430           Depart STT 1520 Arrive BOS 1929 (via SJU)

St. Thomas and St. Croix are part of the United States Virgin Islands, an unincorporated territory of the United States. The islands were purchased, along with St. John, from Denmark in 1917. U.S. citizenship was granted to the residents in 1927.

Did you know… The United States Virgin Islands is the only place under U.S. jurisdiction where vehicles are driven on the left side of the road!

Bless you all – you have made us VIslanders very happy – and thank you for delivering us from the hegemony of American Airlines! They were going to start making us go through Miami for everything!

Its ironic how I was just discussing this with my dad YESTERDAY about your wonderful air services to Puerto Rico because our family is traveling to RI for my older brother’s wedding in August. To find a cheap ticket is pretty hard to go into Providence itself, so my brother suggested we come in though Boston. So happy to see that you are adding services to STT to BOS. Made my day! :)

Thank you JetBlue! At a time when AA has mercilessly and drastically reduced its presence in the Caribbean, you have stepped right in to fill in the gap and then some! You are a true hero!

Are you only going to be offering winter service from Boston to STT? What about the summer months?
