It was another good year for us in SmarterTravel’s 2011 Editor’s Choice Awards, as we received their awards for Best Value Airline – Domestic, Most Customer-Friendly Airline and Best Coach Class Experience.
Once again, the SmarterTravel editorial staff had high praise for our outstanding service and high value product.
In the Best Value category, they said: “Which airline irrefutably delivers the best value both during the booking process and once on the plane for domestic travel? This year, the clear winner is JetBlue. No other carrier offers the lowest fares time and time again for the majority of routes it flies. Sure, there a handful of airlines—generally the low-cost carriers—that initiate promotions, but within a day or even a few hours, their sale prices are generally matched by rival airlines.”
And in taking home the Most Customer-Friendly award, SmarterTravel noted that we are facing some tougher competition than we did in 2010 for the title, but that “for now, JetBlue reigns supreme, and deservedly so. The airline is affordable, doesn’t gouge travelers with fees, and still provides one of the best in-flight experiences available.”
Finally, SmarterTravel had this to say in naming our experience in coach class the best: “While much has changed in the industry over the last year, expanded comfort in coach class doesn’t seem to be the focus for most airlines. JetBlue’s variety of free food offerings, high marks in customer service rankings, and complimentary entertainment options ensure this airline’s place at the top of any coach-class flyer’s list.”
