Next up at Live From T5: Raphael Saadiq

Next up in our Live From T5 Concert Series will be an exclusive, intimate concert by Columbia Records Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and record producer Raphael Saadiq on Friday, April 8. The Live from T5 concert with Raphael Saadiq will be the first in the series hosted on a Friday, much to the enjoyment of Customers starting their weekend traveling with us.

Raphael Saadiq, considered the standard bearer for “old school” R&B, is celebrating the classic sounds of the 60s and 70s soul with a futuristic twist on Stone Rollin’. Featuring ten new tracks, the album is the follow up to Saadiq’s 2008 solo album The Way I See It, which boasted four Billboard R&B chart singles and was nominated for three Grammy Awards including Best R&B Album. Now with this new collection, Saadiq nods to his heroes like Chuck Berry, Stevie Wonder, Little Walter and Sly Stone, while merging his own contemporary sound, one born out of a combination of his recent touring experiences, as well as inspiration derived from indie acts that hold regular rotation in his iPod.

Saadiq is amazing live. I just saw him at SXSW for his version of a soul time machine! Thx, Saadiq.
