Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Today is St. Patrick’s Day, a public holiday celebrated in Ireland and in countries around the world commemorating the most commonly recognized patron saint of Ireland. A fun fact about the holiday is that the original color associated with St. Patrick was blue, but as time passed, more and more people started wearing green to celebrate and became the color we now associate with the holiday.

Stop by our T5 Marketplace at JFK throughout the day to catch some live performances including traditional Irish music performed by The Atlantis Wave, step dancing troupes from the USG Performing ARTS, the Shehan Gormley School of Irish Dance and the Donny Golden School of Irish Dance, and our next Live from T5 recording artist, Julie Feeney.

In addition, green beer will be available for purchase at T5′s New York Sports Grill, select restaurants will be offering Jameson drink specials, and Irish Fare including Corned Beef and Cabbage and Sheppard’s Pie will be served in the Food Court. Complimentary goodies including shamrocks and Irish chocolates will be given out throughout the day.
