JetBlue takes on US Airways in a wager of the football variety

Our CEO Dave Barger reached out to US Airways this weekend to make a friendly wager with CEO Doug Parker for yesterday’s AFC Championship Game when the Official Airline of the New York Jets took on the airline that’s onboard with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The bet? The losing team’s CEO would have to don the winning team’s jersey. To up the ante, Dave and Doug agreed to also wear the hat from the airline of the winning team.

Unfortunately for us, the Jets didn’t make it this year. Dave held up his end of the bet by sporting the Steelers jersey and a US Airways hat today.

Thanks for playing US Airways! We’ll see you next year on the field. Until then, we’ll see you in the skies!

Hey… at least PIT is a blue city, one of our own, so we should all get behind the Steelers & root them to victory

This is what happens when you stray away from the color blue. Hope the jersery and logo hat was worth it. Now more slots from US Airways…lol
