JetBlue President and CEO Dave Barger Extends Employment Agreement to 2015

We’re pleased to announce the extension of Dave Barger’s employment agreement two years, to 2015. Dave serves as our President and Chief Executive Officer.

Dave joined JetBlue in 1998, before we had a name or a single aircraft. He succeeded founder David Neeleman as Chief Executive Officer in 2007. Prior to joining the JetBlue team, Dave had risen from a frontline airport customer service representative with New York Air to Vice President of the Newark hub for Continental Airlines.

To Ms Sanford, VP Mktg…I received a HOT Deals email from Jet blue today listing specials (assumably not available prior)…The fare listed for flt to EWR from RSW was actually $10 more than the fare listed on your everyday web site…I booked from the web site…your email should be an embarrassment to Jet Blue…why email a special when it actually is higher than your regular fares?

I called today to inquire about the number of points my parents have through their True Blue account and was advised that they do not have any points even though they have a number. I asked why they didn’t have points and the gentleman said it was because they didn’t have an e-mail address. My parent’s are not in the financial position to own a computer and all their travel is booked through my husband’s e-mail. It is unfortunate that they have lost their points just because they do not have an e-mail address. We would like to travel on Jet Blue more often, but with this situation I don’t see that there is an increntive.

    Hi Debra,

I’ll pass your note along to our TrueBlue team for further advisement, but one initial thought is to accommodate this need by creating a free gmail or otherwise email account on your parents behalf and linking it to their TrueBlue account.
