It’s fair to say that air travel was more luxurious back in the day. Customers were treated as though they were actual paying guests and not cattle, seats were more spacious, and amenities were plentiful (sounds a little like JetBlue *wink*). Tech culture site, Boing Boing, makes the case that when we compare air travel today to that of of the 1930′s, say, we’re not looking at the full picture. Travel back then meant 15 hours from coast to coast, forking over a large sum, and even disclosing your weight before boarding.
