Crewmember leads rescue search for 11-year girl who was lost and then found

You may have heard of the lost, now found, 11-year-old Nadia Bloom in Florida. The story made national news after the girl was miraculously was found by a volunteer searcher 96 hours after she had gone missing in a hard-to-reach part of the woods behind her house.

The lesser known part of the story, though, is that the search by the church members was organized by our very own Crewmember, Scott Malcomb, JBU Tech Ops instructor. Metro Church in Winter Springs played a proactive role in searching for Nadia and in supporting her family during this most difficult time. Upon Nadia’s return, the church held a party to celebrate. We commend Scott for his leadership role in helping to create a rare and happy ending to this national story.
