An apt and amusing analogy for cutover

If you have never experienced a major system cutover — in the airline business or elsewhere — then it may be difficult to understand just how intense, involved, and insane the process is. Even for the most prepared — as we’d like claim we are — there are thousands of moving parts that need to continue to move in symbiosis with one another in order to make for a successful switch.
