New DOT rule limits airline tarmac delays

cbor2

The DOT announced today that all airlines will be legally bound to limiting the hold on tarmacs when passengers  are on board to three hours. After two hours, passengers must be given food and water and after three hours they are allowed to leave the aircraft. This will  be implemented 120 days after its publication in the Federal Register.  JetBlue was the first airline to voluntarily create a Customer Bill of Rights and remains the only airline to offer specific and meaningful compensation for customer inconveniences.
