Digging Out After Snowfall

Our crew digging out at EWR

Many of us in the Northeast woke up to a winter wonderland this morning. The sun may be shining, but it’s not all wonderful, with windy conditions and upwards of 30 inches of accumulation in some areas.

New York metro airports are open and flights are expected to take to the skies this afternoon. New England took a harder hit from the storm and Boston, Ma (BOS); Hartford, CT (BDL); Providence, R.I. (PVD); and Portland, ME (PVD) airports remain closed while our crews and our partners at Massport and the PANYNJ are hard at work digging out from nearly three feet of snow.

Boston’s Logan and the MBTA remain closed throughout today and both Massachusetts and Connecticut officials urge all but emergency vehicles to remain off the road.

If you’re scheduled to fly in to or out of any of the impacted areas this weekend, please be sure to check your flight status before heading to the airport.
