JetBlue customers come from different backgrounds and life experiences. A diverse workforce helps us to better understand and respond to their needs. By prioritizing equality and the mission to make all crewmembers feel valued, we’ve pushed ourselves to rethink how to best provide support to all crewmembers.
In 2015, we reaffirmed our commitment to recognize the many aspects of diversity at JetBlue, including championing equality for our transgender crewmembers. We began providing in-network health coverage for gender reassignment surgery to enrolled crewmembers and their dependents. For crewmembers transitioning in the workplace, we continue to provide support with gender transition guidelines.
